Falling Star Academy is set on a man-made island, which is quite large. With it's various types of land and climates, it is able to host a wide variety of Pokemon from several regions making it an ideal place for people who want to become a trainer, but don't quite have the confidence or motivation to explore an entire region. The many different biomes allow one to do plenty of exploration while not having to go very far, and will hopefully get them used to the idea of actually traveling through a region one day. The most notable feature of the island itself is that it is actually in the shape of a five-pointed star. Valeria Saren, who established the Academy and serves as the headmistress, named it "Falling Star Academy" because she likes to think of the academy as a place that grants the wishes of its various students...just like how people occasionally make a wish when they see an actual falling star.
In what is known as the Central Area, the main school building and staff dormitories are located. With the possible exception of the Alpina Ruins, the school is easily the largest building on the island. A Pokemon Lab is also located here, and is it there that students will go to receive their starter Pokemon.
There are also five dorms, each one representing one of the five Japanese elements, and located in a different area of the island. There's the Air Dorm to the north, the Water Dorm to the south, the Fire Dorm to the east, the Earth Dorm to the southeast, and, finally, the Void Dorm to the southwest.

Not too terribly long after meeting Sylvestro and Marcus in the general Commons Area, Glacio had decided to go Pokemon hunting again, this time, in the Dragons Den, where a decent variety of Pokemon could be found, primarily types that Glacio thought would help his party in terms of type diversity. And this time around, his team covered two of the three types rumored to be found around here, Chompers, Mega and Gaia could take fire types, Mega could mostly take any dragon types if he had come across any, and Gaia could take the electrical little buggers.
So, Glacio ventured to the Dragon's Den, with a few snacks to sustain him and his party along the way, climbing similarly as to when he had climbed to Salix Cavern, though the party stayed by Glacio's side on the climb up as they did not know what all was up there this time.
Once inside of the cavern, the party had stuck close together, with Glacio noting at the seemingly mild absence of Pokemon. What was up with that?! Did he have a Pokemon repelling magnet or something he was unaware of, or was it just his bad timing. Thus, the group continued inside to see what their journey might behold.
Surprisingly enough, the next Pokemon Glacio had encountered had appeared much sooner than his previous excursion. Though this one was in a group of similar Pokemon, all playing games and such with some rocks. And unfortunately as well, they were somewhat blocking the path to proceed further into the cave. And Glacio personally didn't mind the little electric Pokemon and to him, they seemed rather cool, but he would have felt bad if he had taken it away from its friends. Though if he was empty handed on the way back out of the cave, and if he could remember where it was, the white haired male would probably stop back by here to try and pick up one of the little electric Pokemon.
So, Glacio withdrew Chompers to prevent an accidental fight, and gave the elekids one of his candy bars as a small peace treaty, to let him and his small party of Pokemon pass through. Which they had accepted peacefully, only to start a small fight between themselves on how they proportioned everything. It amused Glacio how carefree they seemed to be, as he continued walking in his journey for a new team mate.
After about a few hours of climbing through the various caverns and walkways, weaving through tight spaces and staying quiet to listen to the whispers of the cave, Glacio had finally reached what seemed to be the end of the cave, which was rather well as this was rather healthy as a trainer and for the bonds between the white haired male and his pokemon. After taking a short amount of time to recollect his breath and taking in the area surrounding him, he noticed a little sleeping Pokemon off to the side of the cavern, and approached it slowly and carefully, as he tried to avoid waking it from its slumber.
So, as Glacio approached and had a more analytical view point upon the sleeping Pokemon, he realized that it looked like that of a dog with red and yellow fur, sleeping on a makeshift mattress of sorts made of what seemed to be collected straw and other materials that could have been rather easily obtained from the surrounding areas, inside and outside of the cave. And with a simple click, Glacio had pulled out and started up his Pokedex, which gave him some of the basic info about the sleeping Growlithe.
After reading up on what the Pokedex had said, Glacio had briefly searched through his memories and had vaguely recalled having met a few growlithes before and their mother who was a rather large and caring Arcanine. Once he had finished recalling his memories, Glacio had noticed the Growlithe staring at him, and then proceeded to stare back at the Growlithe, with the two staring at each other for a few more moments before either party had decided to start acting.
Now realizing that this was his chance to add another Pokemon to his team, Glacio had hopped back, sending out Chompers to try and weaken the wild Growlithe for catching. The Growlithe had started off this fight by using FLAME WHEEL on Chompers, coating itself with fire before charge rolling Chompers, which had hit as Glacio didn't react fast enough to tell Chompers to try and avoid the attack. Now the attack itself didn't really deal that much damage to the little Chompers , as the fire part of the attack didn't really do anything, though the impact of the charge had sent Chompers back a few feet and which after finally landing and standing up had caused Chompers to stagger a little bit. Once this had happened, Glacio opened up his attack as he cried out to his Totodile, "Chompers, use Water Gun!!!" And with this, the small Totodile had shot out a small, somewhat concentrated ball of water towards the Growlithe, which had connected as it sent the Growlithe back a few while some steam sizzled from where the water had hit.
In retaliation, the Growlithe had run up to and around Chompers and used BITE on Chompers' tail which caused Chompers to briefly cry out in pain before waiting on Glacio's next command. After taking a few moments to decide upon which move He would use, Glacio had decided upon telling Chompers to return the favor using Crunch as well, though the Growlithe had been a little faster than the little Totodile this time around, and had avoided the attack.
This time though, the Growlithe didn't attack, but rather started hopping in place as it used AGILITY, and taking advantage of it while it was distracted with raising its speed, Glacio had cried out in excitement," CHOMPERS....USE CRUNCH!!" And Chompers eager to bite back, had run up to the Growlite and had used CRUNCH, biting one of the Growlithe's legs rather hard before causing the Growlithe to fall over panting. And again taking advantage of the seemingly similar situation, Glacio had thrown a pokeball towards the Growlithe in hopes of capturing it.
