Falling Star Academy is set on a man-made island, which is quite large. With it's various types of land and climates, it is able to host a wide variety of Pokemon from several regions making it an ideal place for people who want to become a trainer, but don't quite have the confidence or motivation to explore an entire region. The many different biomes allow one to do plenty of exploration while not having to go very far, and will hopefully get them used to the idea of actually traveling through a region one day. The most notable feature of the island itself is that it is actually in the shape of a five-pointed star. Valeria Saren, who established the Academy and serves as the headmistress, named it "Falling Star Academy" because she likes to think of the academy as a place that grants the wishes of its various students...just like how people occasionally make a wish when they see an actual falling star.
In what is known as the Central Area, the main school building and staff dormitories are located. With the possible exception of the Alpina Ruins, the school is easily the largest building on the island. A Pokemon Lab is also located here, and is it there that students will go to receive their starter Pokemon.
There are also five dorms, each one representing one of the five Japanese elements, and located in a different area of the island. There's the Air Dorm to the north, the Water Dorm to the south, the Fire Dorm to the east, the Earth Dorm to the southeast, and, finally, the Void Dorm to the southwest.

A few days after getting Shadow and the encounter at the fields, Glacio found himself wandering around the island again, in search of more adventure and Pokemon for family. This time, he had a set destination. Glacio wanted to go to a place where electric Pokemon primarily lived and that place was the Verbena Plains.
So, Glacio walked happily to the plains with his newly found egg in hand. Now the story behind the egg wasn't exactly interesting, but still made Glacio excited none the less. It was an auction type thing, and surprisingly enough, not a lot of people showed, so he had obtained the egg he had wanted. Now all he had to do was wait for it to hatch.
Now, once Glacio got to the field, egg in hand, it was somewhat like he expected. It was flat, with a few lightning rod typed pillars, with some Pokemon scattered here and there. So with his party of Pokemon following him, all keeping close as this was a new area for all of them, Glacio started to explore.
Eventually after clearing some portion of the fields, Glacio and his party had eventually encountered a group of little Pokemon. And while he was looking for an electric Pokemon, he wasn't sure if he wanted this one. This was for a few reasons. The first was that his pokeballs were starting to dwindle so he needed to stock up on some more soon. Secondly, the Emolgas seemed to be busy and he didn't want to bother them. Lastly, it just didn't really seem to be what he was looking for, and with this thought Glacio felt a little bad, but he made a promise to come back here later eventually and catch one.
So once the decision was made, Glacio started walking by the Emolgas, keeping a close protective watch over his egg as he walked. It wasn't that Glacio distrusted these Pokemon, it was just that he didn't know if there were any dangerous Pokemon near by.
Some time had passed since the party's last encounter with a Pokemon, but Glacio wasn't really paying attention to the time. He was walking slowly, while paying attention to the little egg that he was carrying. It intrigued him a lot, as within that little egg, it seemed like it could have been any Pokemon, and Glacio saw this as an egg of endless possibilities. When he had originally bid on the egg, he had known what it was, but after getting distracted, he had forgot what the egg was that he had bid for, though this didn't really bother him that much as he was just happy that he was lucky enough to actually get an egg.
Only once he had finished with gauging the egg's seemingly limitless potential, Glacio had realized that he had been walking aimlessly again. With this realization, he looked up and saw, that like before, the fields were somewhat empty, with the exception of a few little Pokemon, though as he approached them carefully, they had run off in fear of his Chompers. Eh, they were cute in his opinion, but he didn't want to chase after them if they were already scared of him.
Finally after searching all this time Glacio had come across what he has primarily been looking for, a Pichu. Though this did make him feel a little bad as the Pokemon he had found earlier had looked rather similar to Pichu, but the white haired male couldn't really have done anything about that since Chompers had scared it off.
So in order to prevent Chompers from scaring off this one, he withdrew Chompers. And then with a little more thinking, Glacio had actually withdrawn all of his party, one by one, carefully so he wouldn't drop the egg that he was carrying, until only Mega was still left out. This was for a good reason. The first time Aron had fought seriously, he had done well, but fainted in the end, causing him to become more withdrawn due to embarrassment, though Glacio was actually proud of him. And then in the second fight with Akira, he had also done well, causing him to come out of his figurative shell a little more. Glacio thought this would be the fight that would cause Mega to finally cast away that embarrassment and realize how good he truly was.
Once this had been done, Glacio and Mega had approached the little Pichu, slowly but calmly. Glacio was confident that Mega was going to win, and he was confident that he was also going to make a new friend that day as well.
Mega, once aware of what was happening, had walked up the the little Pichu and had lightly head butted the Pichu, officially issuing the challenge of their duel. Pichu had responded with a light headbutt to make the challenge official, only to stagger backwards, slightly dazed.
For once, Mega had actually started off the battle, backing up a few steps and charged forward with its claw raised when Glacio had called for it to use METAL CLAW, Pichu being to close to really evade the attack had only braced itself as its alternative, and Aron had flashed a brief shade of red, signifying that the side effect of Metal Claw had taken effect. Pichu in turn had used CHARM, which had worked somewhat on Mega, but not as much since he was also a Male.
After that, Glacio had nodded towards Aron, and that being a signal between the two to brace itself, so Mega had stuck its legs into the ground, only to be followed by Glacio calling," Mega, use Iron Defense!" And with this calling, Mega had closed its eyes and a shiny, silvery coloring had coated his entire body. Pichu, now aware that he had to go on the offensive, had retaliated with THUNDER SHOCK, dealing only a little bit of damage to the defensive Aron.
Once this had been done, Glacio had cried," Mega...use METAL BURST!" And with this, the little Aron had briefly concentrated a small little white ball, that once fully charged, had fired at an extreme speed, connecting with the Pichu with a loud thud, knocking it over, though it quickly recovered from its fall. It, again, now in despiration, had used THUNDER SHOCK again, not doing very much damage, though its side effect did kick in, leaving the little Mega paralyzed.
Glacio, finally realizing that it would probably be best if he ended this fight now, had called out to Mega," Come on little buddy. I need you to try and pull through this. Ya think you could pull together hopefully one last move?" And though it was a delayed response, Mega had turned his head towards Glacio and nodded deeply, knowing that Glacio was really counting on him. With this Glacio smiled," Alright...MEGA TON, USE....EARTHQUAKE!!" Again, though the response was a little delayed, Mega had nodded, his eyes flashing red, and the ground was still for a few moments, and then the shaking had increased slowly but gradually, with Pichu seemingly at the epicenter of it, causing him to fly up and down, hitting the ground repeatedly until the small earthquake from Mega had subsided.
The Pichu was still awake, though very tired from the beating it had sustained, and Aron also tired, as the Paralysis had really drained him as well as focusing his earthquake. After this, Mega had fallen over, fainting from the exhaustion, and though Mega could only hear it from his dreams, Glacio had said," Good job little buddy," before returning him to his pokeball. And then Glacio had walked over to the Pichu saying," You did a Good job as well." Throwing one of his pokeballs it in hopes of capturing it.
