Dorm Information

As mentioned in the Island introduction, there are six dorms that students can choose to enter upon arriving at the academy, and, believe it or not, it does make a difference which one you choose...even if the difference is only slight. First off all, each dorm is represented by three of the eighteen Pokemon Types. Additionally, each dorm has two colors of uniform to choose from.

In any case, here is the list of available dorms, and some brief information about each one;

Air Dorm
This dorm is in the Northern part of the island, and sits in huge field close to a vast mountain range. The three types that represent the Air Dorm are Flying, Electric, and Fighting. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Silver and Yellow.
Status: Encouraged

Water Dorm
This dorm is in the Northwestern part of the island, and sits on a huge beach, near the ocean. The three types that represent the Water Dorm are Water, Ice, and Poison. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Blue and Light Blue.
Status: Slightly Discouraged

Fire Dorm
This dorm is in the Northeastern part of the island, and sits at the edge of a vast desert. The three types that represent the Fire Dorm are Fire, Dragon and Steel. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Red and Orange.
Status: Discouraged

Earth Dorm
This dorm is in the Southern part of the island, and sits at the beginning of a large and very craggy field. The three types that represent the Earth Dorm are Rock, Ground and Bug. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Grey and Brown.
Status: Greatly Encouraged

Void Dorm
This dorm is in the Southwestern part of the island, and sits near some ancient ruins. The three types that represent the Void Dorm are Psychic, Ghost, and Dark. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Violet and Black
Status: Slightly Encouraged

Wood Dorm
This dorm is in the Southeastern part of the island, and is surrounded on all sides by a large forest. The three types that represent the Wood Dorm are Grass, Fairy and Normal. The two colors that students can choose from for the their uniforms are Green and Pink
Status: Discouraged

Other Info about the dorms.

• Each room houses up to two students. The dorms are quite large, so they have quite a few rooms available. Additionally, each room contains a medium-sized refrigerator, a television, and a bathroom with a shower, which are to be shared by the two students in each room
  
  
• Rivalry between dorms is not only allowed, but even encouraged. The only condition is that said rivalries be kept friendly. Berating, harassing or bullying another student because of the dorm they chose will not be tolerated.
  
  
• Each dorm has two supervisors called Wardens, one male and one female, who are charged with looking over the students and keeping them out of trouble. They live in their own rooms within the dorms, separate from those of the students'.
  
  
• Each dorm comes with a fully-stocked kitchen, but no food. So, if any students wish to cook, they must bring their own ingredients (which can be found at the Shopping Arcade. Furthermore, any students who use the kitchen will be responsible for cleaning up their own messes.
  
  
• If a student wishes to change dorms, we do allow it. All one has to do is speak with the Headmistress, and give their reasons for wishing to switch over. If they seem reasonable enough, then she will authorize it. Otherwise, she will contact the Wardens of that dorm and defer to their judgement.

To prevent having having too many/too few people in a single dorm, each dorm has status listed with them. Basically, this status determines whether or not you'll be allowed to join a specific dorm, and how much we're prefer you to pick/avoid one. There are four in total, and may occasionally be prefixed with "slightly" or "greatly", depending on the situation.

• Allowed: You are welcome to join this dorm.
  
• Encouraged: Not only are you allowed to join this dorm, but we'd actually like it very much if you would.
  
• Discouraged: You're still allowed to join this dorm, but we'd prefer it if you chose something else, as there is getting to be a lot of students in here.
  
• Not Allowed: There are simply too many students in this dorm, and not enough in the others, so please pick something else.
