Alright everyone. As you can see, we have successfully updated to v5, and even managed to keep our old skin...well, for the most part. Had to make some changes, but it's definitely better than having to build one from scratch.
In any case, there are a few changes that I will bring to your attention. The biggest one is that, due to some complications with the money system, we have to reboot everything. Meaning everyone's characters, new and old, are starting fresh. I don't like it either, but just trust me when I say there wasn't much of a choice. If there was an alternative, I gladly would have taken it.
In any case, everyone will be back to just their two starters. However, I've decided to let everyone carry over some things from their old profiles into the new ones you'll make.1) You may keep any event Pokemon you claimed. You don't even have to give them to the same character. If you want, you may even make a new character and just give all of them to him/her. If they were evolved, then I'm afraid you must revert them to their basic forms. Additionally, they may only keep any Extra Moves if they came with them. If they have a Unique Move, you may keep it, but you cannot change it.
2) If you want to keep a Pokemon you obtained outside of an event (catching, hatching from an Egg, trade, etc), then you may. However, it will take the place of one of your event Pokemon. Once again, it will be reverted to its basic evolution, and, unless you hatched an Egg and the Pokemon came with an Egg Move, you may not keep any of their Extra Moves.
3) As far as items are concerned, you may keep any unused Rare Candies you obtained from events. However, unlike the event Pokemon, you may not dump everything from multiple characters onto a single new one. Only one set of Rare Candies per new/remade character.
4) Additionally, if, during the Gen VI event, you chose a Mega Stone instead of a Kalos Pokemon, you may keep it...but only if you still have the Pokemon that uses the stone to Mega Evolve.
Now then. I know some of you had some plots going. Maybe your character formed some sort of friendship with another member's, and you don't wanna start over with that. Then don't worry. It will be assumed that some time has passed since everyone has arrived at the school. So, while they will still, for all intents and purposes, be considered new students, it can still be assumed that they've had time to forge the friendships (and, in some cases, romances) that they had before the reboot...just a little sooner.
Now then. The reboot isn't the only thing that's different. I decided to incorporate a new system. Basically, it's one that will allow students and staff alike to be skilled with specific Types of Pokemon, while being not very skilled with others. You can read more on that here. I feel like this will add a little variety to the RP, plus it'll give some incentive to those who like to make characters that prefer to train specific Types. In any case, just figured I should tell you that, the app has had a few things added to it, so make sure you check that out when you repost your profile.
In any case...yeah. I know this reboot is a pain in the ass. Like I said, if there was an alternative, I gladly would have taken it. However, I've done my best to at least try to soften the blow a little. At this point, all I can do is hope you won't hold it against me, and will stay on the site.
