Here are some answers to a few questions that people have been asking, as well as a few that I know someone will (probably) ask eventually.
Q) Who is the main admin on this site?
A) That would be me. I also created it, for the record.
Q) So what is this site, exactly?
A) Basically, it's a Roleplaying site, set at a school...kinda like the one on Yugioh GX. Only, instead of a card game, it centers around Pokemon. Here, students who are either too lazy or not confident enough to go on a journey across an entire region can learn the basics of being a trainer, and have the experience of traveling and raising Pokemon without actually having to go too far.
Q) Does this site have Fakemon?
A) No, it doesn't. I personally have nothing against them, but honestly, it seems like it'd be more of a hassle than it's worth to keep up with them.
Q) What about Pokemorphs? Are they allowed?
A) Again, I have nothing against them, but for the sake of keeping things simple, I'm gonna say "no".
Q) Are we allowed to make characters from the anime/games/manga?
A) No. No canon characters are allowed. Nor is your character allowed to be related to a canon character in any way. At most, I'll allow a passing reference in your character's History. That's about it.
Q) Does this site have liquid time?
A) Of course it does. Making a site like this and not making it liquid time would be insanely retarded.
Q) I'm in the <insert dorm>, which is represented by <insert types>. Does that mean I can only catch Pokemon of those types.
A) That would be dumb, so the answer is no. The types for each dorm only pertain to your Primary Starter.
Q) Why is <insert name of Pokemon> on the rare/uncommon/restricted list?
A) Because I said so. Next question, please!
Q) So, what Pokemon can I start with?
A) Read this thread for more details on how one can choose their starters.
Q) I want to be a Coordinator. How will Contests work on here?
A) Honestly, I don't really know. I'm planning on leaving most of that up to whoever makes the Coordinator Teacher position. Of course, I will have final say in what kind of system(s) will be implemented. For now, however, I'm afraid you're just gonna have to be patient and wait.
Q) I'm wanting to make a <insert academy staff position>. Can my Pokemon be evolved?
A) It's assumed that they are skilled trainers, and have been doing whatever they do for a while, so yes. Unless you want to intentionally make them unevolved, in which case you're more than welcome to. Just know that the usual rules will apply, and that teachers/staff don't get a discount.
Q) What about Extra Moves or Special Moves? How many can they have?
A) If you're making one of the aforementioned staff positions, they can have a full set of four Extra Moves, and they can be either TM/HM, Egg or Move Tutor moves. Special Moves, on the other hand, are not allowed. On a similar note, they cannot have their Hidden Abilities, nor are they allowed to be holding any items.
Q) Why call the dorm supervisors "Wardens"? It makes the dorms sound like a prison. Wouldn't "Advisers" or something else along those lines be more fitting?
A) The official reason: The Headmistress thought "Warden" sounded cool.
The actual reason: I had a brain-fart and didn't think of the name "Adviser" until after someone else pointed it out. By then I had already posted all the info for them, and I didn't feel like changing it.
Q) Do I have to start at the lab?
A) No. You can already begin RPing as though you've already obtained your starters from the lab. The Lab is mostly just there for anyone who wants to directly interact with the Headmistress (assuming I ever stop being lazy and make her), since she spends most of her time there.
Q) The description for <insert location> says there are <insert Type> Pokemon. Does that mean I'll only find those particular Types there?
A) Officially, no. There's likely to be Pokemon of other types roaming about. However, considering that the listed types are what's most common in that given area, chances are fairly high that the Pokemon you encounter on said area will be of those types. So...for all intents and purposes, the answer is more or less "yes".
Q) What do the uniforms look like? I don't see anything anywhere.
A) That was actually something I had kept meaning to take care of, and kept getting sidetracked. In the end, I've decided I'm going to be lazy and take the Soul Eater NOT route...or, for those of you unfamiliar with that series, basically, there are multiple styles of uniform available for students to choose from. The only requirement is that they wear one with one of their dorm's colors. That said, this does not mean they can just show up to class in a t-shirt and shorts, claiming it's a uniform. The staff will probably know.
Q) Are you insane?! Why are Dragon-types and Pseudo-legendaries available as starters?!
A) One reason; Gen VI. Between the existence of Fairy-types and the defensive debuff to Steel-types, every single one of the psuedo-legendaries (and Dragon-types in general) were nerfed quite a bit. And because they're not quite as ridiculously powerful as they once were, I don't see the need to restrict them anymore. And hey...at least I made them uncommon.
Anyways, that's all that comes to mind right away. If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask.
