Falling Star Academy is set on a man-made island, which is quite large. With it's various types of land and climates, it is able to host a wide variety of Pokemon from several regions making it an ideal place for people who want to become a trainer, but don't quite have the confidence or motivation to explore an entire region. The many different biomes allow one to do plenty of exploration while not having to go very far, and will hopefully get them used to the idea of actually traveling through a region one day. The most notable feature of the island itself is that it is actually in the shape of a five-pointed star. Valeria Saren, who established the Academy and serves as the headmistress, named it "Falling Star Academy" because she likes to think of the academy as a place that grants the wishes of its various students...just like how people occasionally make a wish when they see an actual falling star.
In what is known as the Central Area, the main school building and staff dormitories are located. With the possible exception of the Alpina Ruins, the school is easily the largest building on the island. A Pokemon Lab is also located here, and is it there that students will go to receive their starter Pokemon.
There are also five dorms, each one representing one of the five Japanese elements, and located in a different area of the island. There's the Air Dorm to the north, the Water Dorm to the south, the Fire Dorm to the east, the Earth Dorm to the southeast, and, finally, the Void Dorm to the southwest.

With a few Pokémon in his party already, Sylvestro decided he needed to go and find a rarer Pokémon. Then he remembered, Dragon types. They were rare and commonly sought after, so it was only natural that Sylvestro should search for them. Thus, he went to Dragons Den, a place known for Dragon type Pokémon, if the name didn't make it obvious already. As he searched through, he didn't see many Pokémon. natural, as even with a lot of Dragon types, it wasn't likely that they would just walk about without a care. This didn't affect Sylvestro much, however, as he continued, knowing he'd find something soon enough.

Searching through, Sylvestro finally saw a Pokémon. A serpent like creature slithered about, jumping into a pool of water. curious, Sylvestro followed it, intrigued by it. However, once it jumped out again, it never came back up. At least, while Sylvestro was near it. He spent only a few minutes watching before deciding it was staying down there or worse. a good ways away, Sylvestro heard a splash, but figured there was no point going back. Thus, he pressed on. whether this was good or not was depending on your perspective, as more Pokémon began appearing from a distance away, as well as some different pathways. Curious, Sylvestro went down a path down the right.
out of it came an army of Noibats, knocking Sylvestro over due to the shock and sheer size of the group. Very odd, considering Sylvestro had barely taken a step into the path. However, he promptly returned to walking downward, in hopes of finding something. Unfortunately, Little to nothing was found, so he turned back. Tempted, he went down the left path, but nothing was there either. an unfortunate sight, but one pathway remained. Wanting to have some form of success, he went for the middle way, prepared for any Noibat groups that could startle him once more. The path led on to a large arena like area, which was quite silent and strange. more pathways existed, so Sylvestro went down another one.
As Sylvestro continued through, he came across a black and blue creature, that looked more like an emo pokemon than anything. However, Sylvestro was able to quickly deduce it was the Dark/Dragon type Deino.Surprised to see it, Sylvestro barely hesitated in sending Electron out. Electron immediately spun around the Deino silently, as if aware of how it was blind and thus reacted on sound. This worked, as the Deino merely stood there, only somewhat aware of Sylvestro. Then, the battle begun.
"Electron, use Mirror Shot!" Sylvestro called, which made Deino look at Sylvestro, ignoring as the Magnemite unleashed energy, knocking the Deino back a little. it seemed wounded, but more than standing. And it did not take the hit kindly, jumping at the Electron and latching onto it with Bite. While not very effective in detection at times, it was aggressive, for sure. The Bite already had Electron worried and a little out of it's joyous style. Instead, it was now calm and almost calculating. Sylvestro called for Mirror Shot, which hit once more. and now was the time for Deino to strike. it charged and went to ram the Magnemite. however, it saw the opening that was left in it's charge and spun out of the way. both Deino and Magnemite were weak. the next hit was going to determine the victor. a hush fell over the area.
3.....
Electrons eye glared, ready to attack.
2.....
the Deino moved into a pouncing position, lips snapping.
....1!
In an instant, Electron unleashed another Mirror shot, as Sylvestro ordered. It missed however, as the Deino jumped out of the way and then charged at Electron, prepared for the killing blow. However, Electron suddenly spun below it and unleashed a final Mirror Shot. it was point blank, launching Deino into the ceiling, plopping onto the ground unconscious. a grueling battle, with a wondrous victory. Sylvestro then tossed a pokeball, in hopes of capturing the Deino for his team.
